About the role

You will get the opportunity to build on your skills for coaching and working alongside Leaders.  You will assist our future Leaders to build their confidence and skills to deliver on engagement, culture and the wider business strategy focusing on our people.

You will bring an understanding of ER and confidence to work alongside our Leaders to find solutions. This role contributes to the delivery of our exciting people strategy so we are looking for someone who has a real passion for people and who can deliver results.

Our work sites are highly unionised environments, so an understanding of working alongside Union Organisers and Delegates to achieve positive outcomes is important.

About You

You may be in an Advisor role and are looking for the next step to advance your HR career.  You will enjoy a challenge and have a passion for learning and development for both the business and yourself! You’ll be someone who is adaptable and quick to help your colleagues by being a real team player focused on the wider teams goals and success.

You’ll be self-motivated and comfortable multitasking in our fast paced environment, taking all things in your stride. Familiar with a naturally hands-on environment, you’ll be someone who rolls up your sleeves and gets alongside our people whilst modelling that great ‘can-do’ approach through your strong resilience and focus.

 To be a standout candidate you will also;

  • Have a minimum of 3 years previous advisory experience
  • Have knowledge of New Zealand employment law
  • An understanding of ER
  • Be solutions focused with the proven ability to solve problems
  • Be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible and visit sites in varying locations across the Waikato and South Auckland when needed.
