The Health and Safety Advisor works collaboratively with the site to provide practical Health and Safety advice and coaching to establish and maintain a safety culture.  The role is responsible for contributing to the implementation of our Work Health and Safety Management System to achieve risk reduction strategies, implement proactive training programs and to provide assistance with Return to Work functions. The role involves working collaboratively with team members to achieve risk reduction / management, injury prevention and continual improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with all functional teams across the Ingham’s vertically integrated supply chain to implement and maintain the health safety and environmental systems
  • Support the business with internal and external audits
  • Continuously assess the work environment for injury prevention, by engaging employees to work a culture of continuous improvement
  • Investigate incidents and workplace injuries
  • Prepare reports and KPI information to allow managers to make informed decisions for the business
  • Training staff of the Ingham’s HSE practice and safety for life program related training

To be successful in this role:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills with the strong capabilities of working with multiple pieces of data and transforming them into meaningful relevant information for employees to understand
  • Previous H&S experience
