Distribution Supervisor - Nightshift

As a Distribution Supervisor, your role will be involved in engaging and leading your team with the goal of outperforming! With many moving parts, this role will see you focus on front line operations support, ensuring customer service levels are maximised and supply rates are achieved. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to;

  • Driving performance on a daily basis across the distribution centre ensuring delivery on time with sensitive supply chain deadlines
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure that relevant policies and procedures are clearly defined, communicated and effective
  • Partnering with planning team to discuss and determine demand, supply and labour requirements
  • Conducting recruitment requirements where necessary
  • Providing coaching and feedback to your team with the goal of upskilling each member
  • Engaging, leading, motivating and developing your team through effective people management strategies ensuring capability of people to achieve individual, team and overall site objectives
  • Building depth with the team and create opportunities for advancement

 To be successful in this role: 

  • Experience in managing warehouse and distribution centres
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain logistics within an FMCG environment including demonstrable understanding of Cold Chain Operations, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and levels
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Be able to think on your feet and adjust quickly to change

This role is a busy but rewarding one, so having excellent attention to detail and time management will be essential. The hours for this role are 2:00pm - 11:00pm.
