Cooking Instructions

 

Remove outer bag prior to cooking. Do not pierce or open the clear bag prior to cooking.

Remember the clear bag will self vent during the cooking process. please be careful when removing the chicken from the bag as steam will escape through the middle venting strip

Freeze: Freeze on day of purchase.

Thaw: Refrigerator: 18 hours per kg. Once thawed, do not refreeze.

Conventional Oven: REMOVE OUTER BAG. Preheat oven to 190°C. Place chicken on a baking tray with venting strip facing up and cook for approximately 20-25 minutes per 500g. Remove chicken from oven and allow 10 minutes to rest before carving.

Fan Forced Oven: REMOVE OUTER BAG. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place chicken on a baking tray with venting strip facing up and cook for approximately 20-25 minutes per 500g. Remove chicken from oven and allow 10 minutes to rest before carving.

Microwave Oven: REMOVE OUTER BAG. Place chicken in a microwave-safe dish with venting strip facing up and cook on medium-high for approximately 25 minutes per kg. Remove chicken from oven and allow 10 minutes to rest before carving. (Guide only for 850 watt microwave. Refer to manufacturer’s instruction manual.)

We suggest using a meat thermometer. Poultry should be fully cooked when the internal temperature reaches 82°C. Thermometers should be placed in the deepest part of the poultry.  This is a guide only. Appliance temperatures can vary. You may need to adjust cooking times accordingly. Please ensure all poultry is fully cooked before eating.
